The music changes, poem (255/365)

I may not see you
Like I use too
But your words
They linger in ear
Pulling me
To conquer
My fears
I struggle
With reasons why
But you always make
Those reasons clear
And I fear that I
Forget or maybe
There was someone
Else I was meant to be
Or there was someone else
Meant to lead
Chords pass fast
And fade
I’m struck
Trying to recall melodies
That got me past this wall
But new tricks
Are needed
And just start breathing
For new verses
To help me
See it
That lullabies can be forgotten
But while there is air
They always be new refrains
When needed
