Questionable falls, poem (241/365)

I promise I won’t let you fall
You can trust me
My arms won’t let you go
But as you leap
I question my arms
Are they strong enough
Will they reach you
Can I never let go
I feel like perhaps
I should recant my promise
But then I discover
That my words might be stronger then I think
As I pull you up
And we stand solid together
