Confessions of a Gamer, Short Poem (53/365)

The games we play

Games that never go anywhere

And yet we do it

exhausting ourselves

promising to stop

at the next save point

hopeless because

it always evolves into another checkout

No real life lived from the joy stick

and we tell ourselves we love it
