Waiting to be Shunned, Short Poem (51/365)

Today I thought a brick

was going to hit me in church

I have not been there in a while

And I have sinned a lot

Stuck on the end pew

Wishing I had brought a helmet

And I stared at the celling

Waiting for Karma

But all I got was Grace

I am so thankful Jesus

He is not like one the girls I know

Who after somebody called her a bad name

Beat them with a purse

I saw it happen

I look back up at the ceiling

Jesus made the girl

but luckily he’s a God of mercy

Not like other people I know
